Herfurth

Besides the Amazon building, the Herfurth Group is realising a new warehouse complex with supporting offices together with Montea on the circular, eco-effective and water-bound Blue Gate Antwerp business park.

In terms of both construction and climate, the new building will contribute to increasing the quality and well-being of their employees. Comprehensive LCA calculations enabled the client to select the best construction scenario. The offices will be built in wood construction and X-carb will be used for the steeldeck warehouses. In this way, we achieve an extensive carbon reduction for this project.

Bopro was assigned multiple tasks for this project: providing project management and quantity survey in order to complete this realisation on time and within budget, carrying out life cycle assessments as well as assuming our role as BREEAM assessor to certify the building BREEAM Excellent.
