Bopro worked as BREEAM assessor and BREEAM accredited professional on Spectrum: a new office building that replaces an old, dilapidated building. Spectrum is located in Brussels, in the lively neighbourhood of Madou. The project is perfectly located along the small ring road of Brussels and close to the Madou metro station from where you can reach the main train stations of Brussels and Brussels Airport in no time. Today, mobility is an important factor in the development of new office buildings, and this has certainly been taken into account in the development of Spectrum. Considering its location in one of the most vibrant and busy parts of Brussels, a private underground car park has been provided, which is also open to the public. In this way, Spectrum also contributes to more efficient spatial planning.
The strong pace at which people live and work in the capital demands comfort and efficiency. An inspiring design and architectural concept, designed by Jaspers-Eyers architects, with highly advanced technologies in the field of energy efficiency are central to this project. Strict criteria in terms of acoustic and thermal comfort are met, and the employers and employees who use this building can count on a large amount of daylight through the large windows extending from floor to ceiling.
