Waalse Krook

The project includes the development of the master plan for the Waalse Krook site in Ghent and the realisation of a centre for knowledge and culture, including a Library and a Centre for New Media. This is the largest cultural facility project in Flanders.

The new building of the Library of the Future and the Centre for New Media will have a surface area of approximately 18,500 sqm and is being realised under commission from cvba Waalse Krook, consisting of four institutional partners and with the financial support of the Flemish community.

Since 2009 and the appointment of the project management team, A-RES has been acting as the entire project management, including the general coordination, the organisation of studies and works contracts, quality control, planning, schedules and risks. Budget monitoring and control as well as site operation scenarios of the site are taken care of by Bopro.
