ZNA Antwerpen

At the head of Spoor Noord, next to the Cadix neighbourhood and close to the docks of the old port and the city centre, ZNA is building a new hospital that is ready for the future in all aspects: eye-catching, high-tech and sustainable.

The two underground floors will house a car park, loading docks and the emergency department. On the ground floor, in addition to the reception area, there will be a publicly accessible healthcare shopping centre, connecting the project with the future AP College Campus and a new public square. There are various hospital departments on all 19 floors: critical services (intensive care, operating room, medical imaging and burn centre) on the one hand, and non-critical services (day hospital, (geriatric) day hospital and psychiatric department) on the other. On the 3^rd level the public can admire the panoramic floor, where the terrace also offers a beautiful view of the city, port and park.

This project is marked by the strong presence of daylight, small and large inner gardens and outdoor spaces, and a well thought-out vertical circulation to limit walking distances within the departments.
